High Plains Youth Symphony adds second ensemble

Youth orchestras remain eternally young; to be sure, their members grow up and move on, but they are replaced by other young musicians.

Yet such ensembles do grow — if not up, then "out," by expanding their programs and touching the lives of an increasing number of kids. (more)

   
High Plains Youth Symphony Charms Audience

On Sunday, the 4th of November, The High Plains Youth Symphony and Sinfonietta performed at the Mountain View United Methodist Church in Boulder. The foyer of the church filled quickly as the time of the performance drew near. In attendance were parents, grandparents and siblings of the gifted young musicians. Also there to enjoy the eternal music were High Plains Youth Symphony staff, board and alumni and other music lovers. (more)

High Plains Youth Symphony has high standards

Ask about the origin of the High Plains Youth Symphony and you get a feeling of spontaneous generation.

No one person founded the ensemble, and Amy Anderson was named its music director only after its first concert. (more)
